"Kirael: The Great Shift Revised Edition" by Fred Sterling

The real story about the "original" first edition of this book is how it got published. It rivals any story that I’ve heard in the publishing field, so far.
This was one of the first books of its kind that brought forth the awareness and information on the great shift in consciousness, I believe. Before the original first edition was published in 1998, there had been only a smattering of published articles on the subject, and only one other published book that I know of. “Kirael: The Great Shift” described topics that had not been written before. It is one of the expansive books that paved the way for other books to be written on the subject.
In May 1996, I was living in Honolulu, Hawaii. I got word that a church group was giving public talks about the great shift in consciousness, and it intrigued me because no one in my immediate circle of friends or associates knew anything about the topic. I attended one of these talks, and was impressed by the information. It was being channeled through Kahu Fred Sterling (head pastor of the Honolulu Church of Light) by a nonphysical being called Master Kirael (a senior member of the Guidance Realm that lives in the seventh dimension).
I scheduled a private session with Kirael, and it was at that time that he asked me to help write a book. I had just finished writing my own book, “Oneness - The Awakening Experience.” I graduated in Journalism, did a lot of writing in the marketing field, so I knew a little bit about the process of writing and publishing. I was also looking for another subject to write about. This book project fit right into my plans.
I signed on with Master Kirael and was elected Book Project Coordinator to bring this project into manuscript form for publication. Eventually, I also became Editor of Chapter One and wrote “Welcome to the Great Shift.”
The call went out to the church members about the project, requesting volunteers. They came from all walks of life: teachers, artists, musicians, doctors, bus drivers, marketing and sales people, administrative personnel, and so on. At the initial volunteer meeting, 40 dedicated people signed up to help with the project. The response was wonderfully overwhelming! Yet, we had a daunting task ahead of us.
About 60 audio tapes existed (90 minutes each) that were recorded live talks with Master Kirael in a public setting. The audio tapes contained information on various topics that eventually went into the book. Each audio tape had to be transcribed and typed up. It took many months to complete. When that task was finished, we discovered we had enough material for three or four books. We had to edit all that material down to a manuscript that would fit into one book. Master Kirael updated all the information in the transcriptions which added more value to the manuscript.
The book was divided into nine chapters that coincided with Kirael’s numerology system: 1 – New Beginnings; 2 – Balance; 3 – Trinity Power; 4 – symbolizing the fourth dimension of thought, so watch your thoughts; 5 – Self Love; 6 – Mastery; 7 – Transition; 8 – Infinity, always coming back to Self; 9 – Completion. Some chapters had two editors – quite a challenge at times. There were regular progress meetings with the group of volunteers, and ongoing editors meetings on each chapter with Kirael.
Early on Kirael told us that each of the forty volunteers had made an agreement with him a long time ago to write this book as part of our service to awaken humanity to the great shift in consciousness. For some, like myself, it took time to resonate with his statement. We got a ring side seat into the great shift in consciousness. We all felt we were contributing to an important project of bringing the awareness of the great shift to global humanity. We had a lot of fun with this project, too.
Fifteen months later, after a lot of hard work of writing and editing, we had a finished manuscript ready for publication. During the months of actually writing the manuscript, some team members had been researching prospective publishers. One publisher voiced special interest in the project, and the book was published in early 1998.
Every one of the 40 dedicated volunteers who assisted with this project experienced it as a life changing event. Their names are inscribed in the book.
The chapter editors were asked to include a brief personal message in the book about either the material itself or their relationship with Kirael. Their messages are so beautiful to read, so full of love and joy and peace. I hope you have the opportunity to read them. I cannot include their messages, so I will include mine:
“When I began this project I felt this book would be a valuable source of information and assistance to all those who want to make the shift. I learned from Kirael during the evolution of this project that I made an agreement with him in the first century AD to write this book in participation with a large group of individuals. Now, after 15 months on the project, interacting with Kirael on many occasions and with the group, I can honestly say to myself that I wholeheartedly believe the agreement is genuine and truthful, and it is directly related to my lesson plan in this evolutionary journey.
This project has changed my life. I am honored to say that it has been my privilege to serve Kirael in his service to the Earth plane at this time of great transition. My hope for all of you is that your life will become illuminated within the pages of this book, and that you will join with us in communicating this message to the world. I encourage you all to take Kirael’s words to heart, so that in cooperation through love and healing, we might rejoice together in Mother’s Earth’s ascension as well as our own.”
