Public Trust Hits Record Low in Business, Gov’t, Media

The Gallup Poll has been tracking a decline of the public’s trust in the media for the past 10 years. In 2016, it reported that 32% of Americans have a great deal or a fair amount of trust in traditional media to report the news fully, accurately and fairly. In 2015, a study released by the Pew Research Center reported an even lower statistic. The study said only 19 percent of Americans — about 1 in 5 — say they trust the government "always or most of the time." Americans are clearly dissatisfied with the level of service they feel they receive. Three out of four, 74 percent, say public officials put their own interests ahead of the nation's. And a majority, 55 percent, say ordinary Americans would "do a better job of solving problems" than the people whose job it is to do so.

In 2016, a survey found only 6 percent of people say they have a great deal of confidence in the press, about the same level of trust Americans have in Congress, according to data gathered by the Media Insight Project, a partnership between The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and the American Press Institute. The report found faith in the press was just slightly higher than the 4 percent of people who said they trusted Congress. People value accuracy, timeliness and clarity above all else.

The 2017 Cision State of the Media Report revealed that 91% of journalists believe that the media is somewhat or much less trusted than they were 3 years ago, and they are struggling to maintain the public’s trust. This lack of trust aligns with the 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer, which this year saw the public’s trust in the media drop to a level matching distrust in government officials.

The Edelman Trust Barometer revealed that the public’s "trust" is in a crisis around the world. It surveyed respondents worldwide in four key areas: Business, Government, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Media. Trust in all four areas hit an all-time, historical low, it says, a phenomenon unheard of since Edelman began tracking "trust" among this segment in 2012. With the fall of trust, the majority of respondents now lack the full belief that the overall system is working for them.

Here’s a bright note! In February 2017, a new poll released by Quinnipiac University finds that despite President Donald Trump’s relentless attacks on the "fake news" media, more Americans trust the media than Donald Trump.

The Big 6 Control 90% of American Media

More than 20 years ago, President Bill Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that deregulated the industry. The law was considered the first major reform of telecommunications policy since 1934. The act, signed into law on February 8, 1996, was essentially bought and paid for by corporate media lobbies, as Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) described it, and radically opened the floodgates on mergers.

The act dramatically reduced important Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations on cross ownership, and allowed giant corporations to buy up thousands of media outlets across the country, increasing their monopoly on the flow of information in the United States and around the world.

In 1983, 90% of the U.S. media was controlled by 50 companies. Today, according to Wikipedia, 90% is controlled by just 5 companies (2015 revenues): Comcast ($80 billion), The Walt Disney Company ($53 billion), News Corp ($29 billion), Time Warner ($28 billion), and National Amusements ($27 billion). WebpageFX adds Sony as one of the big players, and calls the list The Big 6. Frugal Dad included General Electric and Viacom as two of the Big 6 players. Forbes Magazine identified 15 multi-billionaires that own America’s news media, many of them working within the Big 6 media conglomerates.

"Media" includes 24-hour news stations, newspapers, publishing houses, Internet utilities, and even video game developers. All these media conglomerates are well diversified into other industries.

FreePress.net reports that today massive corporations dominate the U.S. media landscape. Through a history of mergers and acquisitions, these companies have concentrated their control over what we see, hear and read. In many cases, these companies control everything from initial production to final distribution.

Into the Buzzsaw – 18 Tales of Media Censorship

This book was published in 2002, five years before Gallup Poll began tracking the public’s trust in the media. It tried to wake us up at the time that press censorship was happening. How much more censorship is happening today? In this book, leading journalists — including Dan Rather, Ashleigh Banfield, Robert McChesney, Greg Palast, Pulitzer Prize and Emmy winners, and more – recount the press censorship they experienced in the wake of 9/11 security concerns. Supporters described this book as fascinating, disturbing, uplifting, and infuriating. It won the National Press Club’s Arthur Rowse Award for Press Criticism and was selected by the New York Public Library as one of the most extraordinary titles of 2002.

Disclaimer: I’m not promoting this book as if you should buy it. I present it here only as validation that top journalists have experienced media censorship against the public interest.

In April 2004, Dr. Steven M. Greer, MD, Director of the Disclosure Project wrote a 5-page essay, "Media Play," about media censorship that happened in May 2001, when he held a 2-hour major international press conference at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. The event featured over 20 top-secret government, military, intelligence and corporate witnesses to UFO events and projects. The witness testimony presented ranged from Brigadier General to Colonels to a top FAA officials. The National Press Club was packed with media from around the world.

Dr. Greer called for a full investigation into illegal covert programs dealing with UFOs and covert energy and propulsion projects. Congressional hearings were requested and the media were asked to fully investigate the matter. Tens of thousands of people wrote members of Congress and U.S. President George W. Bush for full, open, honest hearings at which some of the over 400 military and government-connected witnesses identified by The Disclosure Project could testify. The reader may read the testimony of over 5 dozen of these witnesses in the book Disclosure or view their testimony at www.DisclosureProject.org.

However, the first hour of the event was electronically jammed by someone outside the Press Club, according to Internet hosting company Connect Live. Sources later confirmed this was an electronic warfare jamming of the broadcast. Senior producers at two Big Media networks, who had been briefed in advance and were planning to run this story in their news programs, later told Dr. Greer that they were not allowed to go forward with their investigations or had to kill the broadcast programs. When Dr. Greer asked why, they simply said, “They just won’t let us do it.” And when Dr. Greer asked who are “they” are, he was told, “Dr. Greer, you know who they are."

In the 5-page essay, "Media Play," Dr. Greer says: "The quaint notion of a free press watching vigilantly over the interests of The People is one of the great lies perpetrated by the government, and by the corporate media itself. Every insider knows this is a lie. The Big Media is vertically and horizontally integrated into a large corporate and quasi-governmental matrix of shadowy interests and corrupting influences. In no way is the major media in America free, nor has it been for decades. The corrupt and controlled Big Media is the central reason for significant investigations being killed, illegal secrecy persisting and major scientific breakthroughs being suppressed."

"The crown jewel of secrecy is the collection of projects that deal with advanced technologies, energy systems, propulsion systems – and UFO matters – that, once disclosed, would end the need for oil, gas, coal or nuclear power," says Dr. Greer. "The corruption and secrecy surrounding this issue is like none other – it is in a class of its own. The media can only cover the subject either in a cavalier or dismissive way – or through direct disinformation and ridicule. No honest investigative report has ever appeared, over time, on this subject in any Big Media outlet – not in over 50 years of secrecy. Why?

Because they are not allowed to do it. And if they did, it would mark the end of their career and possibly their lives. It is not an overstatement to say that I have spoken to mainstream journalists who clearly show palpable fear when the matter is brought up."

Earth’s Dark Cabal Losing Control of the World

In Sheldan Nidle’s weekly messages, they repeatedly talk about a dark cabal that has controlled the affairs of humanity for the past 13,000 years. In his book, Your First Contact" - Sheldan – who is the channel for the Galactic Federation of Light and Earth Spiritual Hierarchy – humanity’s domination started with the off-world, evil humanoid-hybrid empire, the Anunnaki – who chose human beings (kings, queens, presidents, among others) to carry out their skulduggery. In the mid-1990s, the Anunnaki surrendered to the forces of Light, but Earth’s dark cabal did not surrender. Throughout history, these human puppet-masters have held the reins of power for generation after generation. This is what Amma – The Divine Mother calls the illusion within the illusion.

A channeled message from the coalition forces of the Galactic Federation of Light (click link below for full text): "They (dark cabal) have been referred to as the global elites or Illuminati or New World Order (NWO) or One World Government. They have infiltrated every sector of society: including business, government, entertainment, and the news media. They utilize the news media channels for propaganda purposes. Many of these elites are multi-billionaires who appear to be successful in business, but at a great cost to humanity. They hoard their capital and promote scarcity and austerity thinking.

Their agenda is not to help the well-being of humanity. Their agenda is white supremacist in nature, born in the Nazi movement of the 1930s and 1940s, which is still alive today. They condone the violence, torture, suffering, misery and death of sentient life on your world, and they often create the circumstances that allows it to happen. They want to rid the world of those people they deem unacceptable or don’t fit their desired mold.

As capitalist elites, they want to enslave and exploit humanity. Their primary goal is monetary profit. If they can’t profit from any investments they might make in humanity, they simply aren’t interested. The dark cabal works according to its own priorities, which are not the cosmic mandates for peace, love, and freedom for all. This is what makes the cabal so dangerous and why they must be exposed and their agenda thwarted. As a billionaire born in a billionaire family, President Donald Trump has been tied to these groups for most of his life."

But, the situation is not hopeless. The coalition forces of the Galactic Federation of Light have been working diligently behind the scenes to expose and legally arrest members of the dark cabal. Reportedly, they are on the run. Once their empire collapses completely, and they are segregated away from humanity, we are told it will open the doors to an unprecedented era of prosperity for the entire world. But, the Great Awakening into Unity Consciousness is not to be left up to the Galactic Federation of Light alone. There is much vital assistance we can lend, and our participation is required.

The Brainwashing of America on 9/11

In 2013, Ray Pensador, an investigator into brainwashing techniques, discovered a Gonzaga University Master’s Degree Thesis by Frank McCloy, submitted on December 2012, entitled: The Propaganda Model – Corporate and Political Collusion in the Creation of an Oligopolistic Mainstream U.S. Media. The thesis explains how the American corporate media conglomerate in collusion with the U.S. government, has formed an oligopolistic entity (market conditions in which supply and demand and prices are controlled by a few sellers) whose sole purpose is to manipulate the American population into accepting undemocratic corporate control over their lives. What can be done? One of the conclusions reached in the research paper is that one of the most important things is for people to become aware of the effects of the propaganda.

The most ruinous effect of all this, of course, is the fact that most people are totally unaware of the level of manipulation by the propaganda they are being subjected to.

October 16, 2001 – Lonnie Wolfe writes a long, insightful article for Executive Intelligence Review, 35 days after the so-called terrorist’s attack and destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She begins her article with the question: Are You Brainwashed? In the article, she demonstrates how the American news media, which is so proud of calling itself “free,” and has been patting itself on its back for the wonderful job it has done for all of us during and after September 11 attacks, is the largest, most expensive, mass-brainwashing machine ever assembled in human history. It is a machine that completely brainwashed nearly 300 million Americans, that the Nazis’ infamous Propaganda Minister Josef Goebbels would be envious.

The article says that what took place was not a terrorist attack, but a strategic, covert special operation, organized to have the appearance of a "terrorist" attack. And the extent of the cover-up and misdirection which followed, such an operation could not have been organized by any Arab terrorist network. It had to be organized from within the United States, with the participation and connivance of a rogue network within the Anglo-American intelligence and military establishment.

There was a psychological warfare component to this covert special operation, which was intended to maximize its effectiveness against a targeted enemy, to confuse that enemy and misdirect him. In this case, the targeted enemy was the American people and its constitutional government. The "psywar" component of the operation was carried out by the American media-machine, with the intent to brainwash the American people into accepting the ongoing coup d’etat against our consttutional government. The article bears out that the U.S. media is controlled and run as a cartel by the Anglo-American establishment. It serves the interest of this establishment, reporting what it wants, and suppressing what it doesn’t want reported; or slanting reporting to conceal reality.

The September 24 issue of The New Yorker magazine commented that "This is a brand of warfare whose aim is not to disable military targets, but to sap the overall will of a nation and its people. Used at the right time and place, an attack could destroy the people’s faith in their government, their military, and themselves. It could become a decisive attack against the political will of an entire populace."

Lonnie Wolfe’s article goes on to describe how the mass-media’s brainwashing tactics were used in the aftermath of 9/11, and she describes their outcome. The article highlights the insight that the only characteristic that was universal to all the American news media coverage was the cover-up of any possible trail leading to a domestic source that committed the terrorist attack.

Breaking the Stranglehold of Big Media

In our channeled message 2017 Predictions, Amma – The Divine Mother – said that many of us know that our media is owned and controlled by just a few men. "Your media is controlled by one source that allows the illusion that there are separate owners. In 2017, there is a potential for breaking apart this stranglehold of the media. There are already some brave souls who are operating their own independent news sites. People around the world are sending in news reports from their phones, and this is changing the perception of many on this planet. At the same time, the powers that hold the media will fight against these independent news sources. When people begin to lose power, they will do all manner of things to destroy those who threaten them."

There is one big factor in our favor to helping us break the stranglehold of the media: Potent transformational energies are flooding the planet, and they will increase in intensity. These energies, in part, support transparency - where all secrets and conspiracies and oppression against the people are uncovered and resolved in love. These transformational energies will completely transform our way of life into 5D consciousness. Those of you that want to make the shift in consciousness are asked to stay in the flow of these life-affirming energies.

1. Lonnie Wolfe concludes her report for the Executive Intelligence Review by saying: "Remember! The first step in deprogramming yourself from mass media brainwashing, to freeing yourself and your neighbors from its evil clutches, is to recognize that you and they are, indeed, brainwashed. It gets a lot easier, and things begin to get much clearer from there on." This is why meditation and utilizing your spiritual practices are critically important. They wake you up!

2. Work on your spiritual growth. In April 2017 News Updates, Master Jesus said the energy shift that Light-workers are delivering is extremely powerful and is causing an enormous positive change that is leading us out of darkness and chaos that so many fear. By continuing to deliver this powerful energy transmission, you enable the energies of transformation to break apart the dependence of Americans (and the world) on the mass media brainwashing machine. 3. Go inward. Enlighten yourself. Restore trust in your divine Self. There is no outside authority to depend upon.
